work work work...

So tomorrow is the big day. The day that the busy mother of two has to go back to work. Although I let go of thirteen work hours per week it seems that 24 hours of being out of my house is a lot for a week. So this morning, exhausted from taking care of the puking feverish baby who, by the way, puked all over my feet at 6:30 am and all over the car at 9pm last night, I promptly bathed the children and buried myself in a pile of unfolded laundry and started the task. I couldn't bare work tomorrow (although I'd have to) if I knew I had so much at home to do.

How do other mothers do it? How do they work full time... it blows my mind! They must have some super-powers that I don't know about. I think they must have other people doing all of their housework. Either that or they live in squalor and never invite others into their homes to see it. My guess is that they have super powers though. When nobody's looking they fly around their homes in their tights and capes and have the whole family fed and home cleaned within seconds!

After tomorrow, when I realize that I've survived a whole 9 hour shift, I hope I'll feel better. Right now the thought of working 4 days in a row this week causes my heart to beat quickly, then I cry a bit then I feel like I'm going to barf. So I try to remind myself of things that I really liked about my job before. I'm really looking forward to my lunch break. A whole half hour of uninterrupted solitude, hopefully...
